POSITION SUMMARY
Accountant – India Accounting is responsible for implementation of all accounting procedures of the department as
per the guidelines of local government as well as the parent Company. The position plays a key role in maintaining
India books of accounts and ensuring timely closure of books, as well as processing payments to vendors, service
providers, Government departments on timely basis. This position will also implement financial controls ensuring the
accounting processes are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 Perform, coordinate & supervise various Accounting tasks such as Bookkeeping, Accounts Payable,
Accounts Receivable, Banking, Reconciliations, Financial Reporting, etc.
 Handle high volume of transactions with utmost accuracy within prescribed timelines.
 Handle accounting entries in both INR and USD currency, to enable consolidation of Company level accounts.
 Calculate and account for foreign exchange gain/loss on remittances received from US entity.
 Maintain all necessary data and records in compliance with local Government laws including but not limited to
GST, TDS, Income Tax.
 Performs reconciliations and analysis of ledgers to ensure completeness and accuracy
 Provide necessary support for external audit from Company auditors and/or Government/Tax authorities.
 Perform additional duties as assigned to support the finance team
 Understand and adhere to all company policies, including but not limited to security, trade secrets and
confidentiality of all information

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
 Bachelors’ or Masters’ in Business, Accounting or Finance. Chartered Accountant preferred.
 6+ years of professional hands-on accounting experience
 Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite is strongly preferred
 Exposure to other popular Accounting applications such as Tally, QuickBooks
 Experience with Microsoft Office with Advanced Excel knowledge required
 Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal with problem solving ability
 Strong attention to detail
 Supporting & coordinating with on-shore team based out of US offices

 Job involves supporting & coordinating with on-shore team based out of US offices, and hence requires
flexibility to work in any shift and/or on Indian holidays as well.
