Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Officer (Internal Controller) to ensure the organization adheres to internal policies, external regulations, and industry standards. This position is pivotal in maintaining ethical operations, safeguarding compliance frameworks, and enhancing risk management processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance, coupled with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Time: 7 am- 4 pm EST


Main responsibilities:

1. Policy Compliance & Development:

• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies and procedures.

• Ensure organizational policies align with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.

2. Risk Assessment:

• Conduct regular risk assessments and identify areas of non-compliance.

• Develop mitigation plans and oversee their implementation.

3. Auditing & Monitoring:

• Perform routine and ad-hoc internal audits to ensure adherence to internal controls.

• Monitor compliance with financial and operational policies.

4. Training & Awareness:

• Conduct employee training programs to promote compliance awareness.

• Communicate updates on regulatory changes and best practices to relevant teams.

5. Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare detailed reports on compliance activities, audit findings, and risk evaluations.

• Maintain comprehensive records of compliance-related documentation.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

• A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIA, CFE, CMA) is preferred.


Experience:

• Total work experience of 8 - 12 years with minimum 3-5 years of experience in compliance, internal control, auditing, or related fields.

• Big 4 audit firm or consulting experience is highly preferred.


Key Skills:

• Strong understanding of US regulatory requirements and risk management practices.

• Proficiency in internal audit processes and control frameworks.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.

• Advanced knowledge of compliance software and MS Office tools.

• Prior experience of handling US client added value
