Job Title:Data EngineerLocation:Bangalore / MumbaiExperience Required:5 to 12 yearsEmployment Type:Full-timeAbout the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on data engineering expertise with the ability to coordinate and provide leadership for Capco's data strategy initiatives — including the archiving of historical Dynamics 365 data and building out a scalable data warehouse.This role requires a deep understanding of Azure data services, Dataverse, and Power Platform, with added exposure to MS Fabric or Snowflake being a strong advantage. The candidate should also demonstrate solid project management and stakeholder coordination skills, capable of steering cross-functional data efforts from design through delivery.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.- Lead or coordinate initiatives around archiving historical data from Dynamics 365 and designing scalable data warehouse solutions.- Build and manage data models, schemas, and integrations within Dataverse, ensuring consistency, performance, and maintainability.- Develop and enhance business applications and workflows using Power Platform tools:- Power Apps- Power Automate- Power Pages- Power BI- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define data requirements, priorities, and milestones — ensuring alignment with the overall data strategy.- Apply strong SQL and database management principles to design efficient data storage, retrieval, and ETL processes.- Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and security across platforms and data pipelines.- Contribute to project coordination and leadership — managing timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across teams and vendors.- Explore and leverage Microsoft Fabric and/or Snowflake for modern data warehousing and analytics capabilities.- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.Required Skills & Qualifications:- 5–12 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI).- Proficiency in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Dataverse for data orchestration and modeling.- Solid understanding of SQL, relational database concepts, and data modeling (star/snowflake schema).- Proven experience in building and maintaining data warehouses and scalable data solutions in cloud environments.- Strong organizational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric and/or Snowflake for modern data engineering or analytics workloads.- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 data architecture (for archival and integration).- Microsoft certifications in Power Platform or Azure Data Engineering.- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.- Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Azure Functions, or Logic Apps.Why Join Us?- Lead key initiatives shaping Capco's data modernization and strategy roadmap.- Work on cutting-edge Azure and Power Platform technologies.- Collaborate within a highly skilled, inclusive, and innovative consulting environment.- Access continuous learning, certification, and career growth opportunities.
