Job SummaryWe seek a highly skilled Accountant to handle financial tasks, maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance.GST Filing and CompliancePrepare and submit GST returns on time, adhering to prescribed deadlines and ensuring accuracy.Review and verify GST-related documents, invoices and receipts for consistency with accounting principles.Stay updated on changes in GST regulations and communicate their implications to relevant stakeholders.Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve GST-related queries or issues promptly.Employee Payroll ManagementOversee the payroll process, including salary calculations, deductions, reimbursements and tax withholding.Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding payroll tax deductions.Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.Bookkeeping and Financial RecordsAccurately record financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.Maintain general ledger entries, documenting all financial activities accurately.Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions and other financial accounts regularly.Generate financial reports and statements, providing insights to management on financial performance.Financial Analysis and ReportingAnalyze financial data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.Collaborate with the finance team to prepare financial reports, budgets and forecasts.Support the preparation of financial statements and reports required for audits and statutory compliance.Compliance and Regulatory AdherenceEnsure adherence to all relevant Indian accounting and tax regulations.Stay informed about changes in tax laws, accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.Assist with external audits and provide necessary documentation as required.Cross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with various departments to gather financial data and insights for decision-making.Work closely with the finance team to streamline processes and improve overall financial efficiency.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.Proven experience as an Accountant with expertise in GST filing, payroll management and bookkeeping in an Indian context.Thorough understanding of Indian accounting principles, taxation and regulatory requirements.Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office suite.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.Able to prioritize tasks, work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
