Job Title: Process Engineering ManagerJob Description:The Process Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of process engineering activities within a manufacturing plant. Key duties include conducting heat and mass transfer calculations, performing stoichiometric analyses, creating P&ID and PFD documents, optimizing process equipment debottlenecking, troubleshooting, and ensuring efficient utilization of equipment to enhance productivity.The manager will also be accountable for providing training to subordinates on documentation and heat/mass transfer operations, submitting timely reports to the head of department, verifying change control implementations, and implementing technology upgrades in the plant.Responsibilities:Management: Achieve new product implementation targets, procure or assist with acquiring suggested equipment, coordinate with projects, engineering, PD lab, instrumentation, and production for smooth functioning.Leadership and Commitment: Ensure process and cleaning validation of processes and equipment, identify deviations, and investigate their root causes.Internal Communication: Ensure safety compliance as per HAZOP recommendations, participate in conducting internal audits, communicate with quality control for in-process testing and results, and communicate with stores for general material and raw material requirements.Training: Conduct training to all subordinates involved in the department on various aspects of quality, manufacturing activity, and safety.Risk Management: Ensure that pre-start-up safety reviews (PSSRs) are conducted after any modification and before starting any new product, ensure risk assessments are performed after any modification and before starting any new product, and ensure adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) is available to all subordinates.Skills/Attributes:Leadership/People ManagementTrainingCommunicationTechnicalIdentify and analyze problemsKnow procedures of process engineeringRequirements:To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent leadership skills, be an effective communicator, and have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
