Sr. Finance BW/BPC Architect

Sr. Finance BW/BPC ArchitectOur site in India is seeking an experienced developer who specializes in SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), but who has also been involved with non-SAP FP&A tool integrations. This hybrid role is focused on building bridges between the SAP ecosystem and other best-of-breed planning platforms to create a unified view of financial performance. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen and expertise in both SAP and third-party tools to support complex financial reporting and analysis.What You'll DoRegular support of business and system processes across the environment with an emphasis on banking, AP, AR, fixed assets, and costing.Liaison with the business teams and IT teams to maintain, create, and improve global finance processes.Build and maintain documentation of requirements and solutions.Liaison with functional COEs to prioritize and assess business requests and manage the appropriate prioritization queues.Lead the design, modeling, and extraction of financial data from both SAP BW and SAP BPC Consolidation models.Create and implement BPC script logic, business rules, and Business Add-ins (BADIs) to support complex financial calculations.Design and develop BW modeling objects such as InfoObjects, Advanced DataStore Objects (ADSOs), Composite Providers, and HANA Calculation Views.Create and implement BPC logic, business rules, and automation scripts.Manage data flows from SAP ECC to ensure accurate and timely financial data is available for reporting.Develop and maintain reports, input schedules, and dashboards using SAP Analysis for Office (AO) and BEx Query Designer.Provide expert support for BPC and BW environments, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.Continuously monitor and optimize system performance, including tuning data loads and improving report execution times.Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data across all systems.Act as the technical expert for data integration between SAP BW/BPC and external FP&A platforms.Develop and manage data pipelines using ETL tools (like SAP BODS or third-party connectors) to ensure data consistency between SAP and non-SAP environments.Collaborate with finance and IT teams to implement and optimize data flows, ensuring financial data aligns across all planning systems.Develop unified dashboards and reports that pull data from both SAP and non-SAP sources for comprehensive financial analysis.Use visualization tools like SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, or Tableau to present a cohesive and actionable view of financial performance.Gather and translate business requirements from finance stakeholders into functional specifications for reporting and planning solutions.Provide expert support, troubleshooting, and optimization for all financial reporting and planning systems, including non-SAP tools.Continuously monitor and enhance data integration processes to improve performance and data accuracy. ​​​​​​What We SeekExtensive hands-on experience in SAP BW and SAP BPC (preferably on BW/4HANA) with a strong understanding of financial processes.5-10 years of experience as a Developer with experience in configuration and problem resolution.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.Outstanding Candidates Will HaveThorough understanding of SAP BW and BPC configuration.Excellent financial domain knowledge (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Forecasting).Proven experience integrating SAP Data with at least one major non-SAP FP&A tool.Knowledge of relevant business processes and their integration with SAP systems.Enhanced experience in testing and delivery/training solutions.
