Senior Backend Engineer RoleWe're seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of high-performance backend systems.As a key member, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs using Golang. Additionally, experience in Ruby or Ruby on Rails is highly valued.You'll be part of a collaborative environment where clean code, solid engineering practices, and strong computer science fundamentals are deeply valued. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals – algorithms, data structures, and system design.Key responsibilities include:Designing and developing scalable backend services and APIs using Golang.Contributing to the architecture and evolution of service-oriented / microservices backend systems.Writing clean, testable, and efficient code with a focus on quality.Collaborating with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-impact features.Improving performance, monitoring, and observability of backend services.Participating in design discussions, code reviews, and technical planning.Troubleshooting and resolving production issues with a focus on reliability and root-cause analysis.Qualifications for this role include:5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in high-scale backend systems.Strong proficiency in Golang is required, with experience in Ruby or Ruby on Rails as a plus.Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals – algorithms, data structures, and system design.Proven experience building and scaling distributed systems, APIs, or backend platforms in a production environment.Familiarity with DevOps practices, monitoring tools, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes) is a bonus.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment with a collaborative mindset.Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building high-quality software.
