Underwriting SpecialistWe are seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Specialist to join our team.Maintain a working knowledge of US Mortgage Originations, closing procedures, federal and state lending laws.Have good working knowledge of all 4C's of underwriting, experience in end-to-end underwriting of Conventional loans, and strong understanding of Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Prospector (LP).Key responsibilities include:Reviewing loan files for compliance with all regulatory and client's guidelines/overlays.Analyzing income & employment, credit strength, capacity to repay, property appraisal, title report, calculating and analyzing LTV/CLTV/HCLTV/DTI/HTI.Checking all other information relevant to the credit decision process on each mortgage application.Audit the file from a closing & compliance standpoint on daily basis and note any exceptions.Required Skills and Qualifications:Sound knowledge of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac Guidelines is required.Strong understanding of loan regulations and federal statutes.Benefits:Opportunity to work with a dynamic team.Competitive compensation package.Others:Professional growth and development opportunities.Collaborative work environment.
