Data Governance LeadDrive enterprise-level data governance initiatives across multiple business domains. The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise, exceptional communication skills, and experience in setting up governance councils, policies, and AI governance practices within an enterprise environment.Design, implement, and institutionalize data governance frameworks, policies, and processes across business units.Conduct workshops to define governance objectives, roles, and ownership models with clients.Help set up and formalize the Data Governance Council — document charters, roles, responsibilities, and governance operating models.Collaborate with data engineering, architecture, and security teams to implement governance controls using platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, and Informatica.Implement and monitor AI governance principles ensuring compliance, ethical AI use, and adherence to organizational policies.Understand diverse business domains — Real Estate, Retail, E-Commerce, Investment Holding, Hospitality & Entertainment, and Government Entities — to align governance frameworks with business priorities.Ensure all governance processes align with Microsoft Security and Compliance Frameworks, regulatory standards, and enterprise risk guidelines.Partner with senior business leaders, data owners, and IT teams to drive governance adoption and maturity.Deliver value to the organization by driving strategic alignment, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring regulatory compliance.Develop a deep understanding of the organization's data landscape, including data sources, systems, and applications.Work closely with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted solutions.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data governance, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence, integrity, and customer satisfaction.Maintain accurate records of governance activities, decisions, and outcomes.Provide regular updates to senior management on progress, challenges, and recommendations.
