Finance Manager – Industrial Parks Business

Role : Finance Manager – Industrial Parks Business.
Location : Kolkata.
Position Overview:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities related to the industrial parks business, including financial planning, reporting, analysis, and budgeting. This role requires a seasoned finance professional with a deep understanding of the industrial parks sector, real estate, or infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of finance experience, including expertise in financial modeling, cash flow management, and investment analysis, along with an MBA in Finance or CA qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Financial Planning and Budgeting
- Develop, manage, and monitor the financial budget for industrial park projects and operations, ensuring that all financial targets are met.
- Prepare detailed financial forecasts and scenario planning to support long-term business strategy and capital planning.
2.Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accurate reporting in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying key drivers of performance and areas for improvement.
3.Cash Flow and Working Capital Management
- Manage cash flow projections and optimize working capital to ensure that the business has the necessary liquidity for ongoing operations and growth.
- Liaise with banks, investors, and stakeholders to ensure timely access to funding for new industrial park developments or expansions.
4.Investment Analysis and Project Financing
- Lead financial modeling for new projects, including investment appraisals, ROI calculations, and risk assessments.
- Advise on financing strategies, including debt and equity funding, and manage investor relations, ensuring effective communication of financial performance and opportunities.
5.Cost Control and Profitability Analysis
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to improve profitability within the industrial parks business.
- Monitor operating costs, capital expenditures, and key financial ratios, ensuring adherence to budgeted limits and improving overall financial efficiency.
6. Tax and Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards, and industry-specific financial regulations related to industrial parks and real estate development.
- Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure that financial operations are fully compliant.
7.Strategic Financial Support
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making for new developments, lease negotiations, acquisitions, and divestments within the industrial parks business.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial objectives with overall company goals, driving profitability and long-term business growth.
8.Team Leadership and Mentorship
- Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accuracy, and financial discipline.
- Ensure team members are trained in the latest financial systems, reporting tools, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of finance experience, with a proven track record in managing financial operations for industrial parks, real estate, or infrastructure development businesses.
- Education: MBA in Finance or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of financial modeling, cash flow management, investment appraisal, and financial reporting standards.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the industrial parks, real estate, or infrastructure sector, including project financing, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading finance teams and working cross functionally with senior management.
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel, financial modeling software).
