Lease Accounting Specialist

Job Summary/Mohr Intro.Mohr Partners, Inc. is looking for a qualified individual to join our Lease Accounting team. The ideal candidate should be prepared to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment while managing the full scope of administrative services for our clients.Essential FunctionsPrepares balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entriesSupporting month-end and year-end close processes for leases and restructuring and preparing reconciliations for related balance sheet accountsAccounting for lease terminations and modifications, as well as sublease accountingPrepares or assists in preparation of schedules to be provided to the external and internal auditorsResponsible for lease accounting transactions in the lease management system (CoStar)Analyzes and explains variances from budget and prior yearWorking with global teams to establish controls necessary to capture all new leases on a timely basisResponsible for other complex accounting and reconciliationsPrepares lease footnote schedulesPreparing reports to support all lease accounting disclosure requirements for the Company's filings with the SECPreparing and maintaining lease accounting policies and procedures, as well as participating in training of relevant finance personnel worldwideCommunicates with other departments regarding accounting mattersMonitors lease activity to ensure appropriate accounting.Assist in additional department related projects as requested.Accountable for delivery of projects against expectations, including on-budget and to outlined/agreed upon specificationsKeep on top of tasks and will remain agile, as you'll often need to reorganize your time day to day, to deal with your team's changing necessities and requests.Other duties as assigned.Education & ExperienceQualifications: Any GraduationYears of Experience: 4 - 8 YearsVisual Lease, Pro Lease, Lease Accelerator, Lease Harbor, Tango, Lucernex and/or Co-Star experience preferredProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)Other Skills & AbilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners and clients.Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritize and manage time and workload.Understanding of and commitment to client services. Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments.
