We pride ourselves on collaboration, innovation, and the use of modern tools—including AI-assisted development—to enhance productivity and solution quality across a global, hybrid team environment.About the RoleAs a Senior Software Engineer (Contractor) on the D365 Engineering Team, you will develop, enhance, and support D365 F&O solutions focused on Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Finance and Operations modules. You will collaborate with technical leads, business analysts, and integration teams to deliver well-architected, high-performance solutions leveraging Dataverse, Synapse, and AI-assisted tools. This role requires hands-on expertise in X++, C#, SQL, and GitHub, along with experience working with data integrations and analytics environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and customize D365 F&O functionality using X++, C#, SQL, and related technologies, primarily within Supply Chain Management while supporting Finance and Operations processes.Collaborate with internal engineers and analysts to deliver features, enhancements, and integration capabilities aligned with business requirements.Work with Dataverse and Synapse Link for D365 to expose and structure near–real-time data for integration and analytics purposes.Develop complex SQL queries within Synapse to replicate data entity abstractions from the OData API when not natively available.Support integration consumers by helping them understand D365 source table relationships and Synapse-exposed datasets.Use GitHub Copilot (Agent Mode) and ChatGPT/Copilot integrations to accelerate development, documentation, and troubleshooting tasks.Follow coding standards, perform unit testing, and ensure all solutions are performant, maintainable, and secure.Contribute to continuous improvement by recommending tools, processes, and automation approaches to improve team efficiency.Maintain technical documentation for customizations, integrations, and data mappings.Ensure compliance with CLIENT's established security, performance, and operational standards.Required:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.5+ years of hands-on experience with D365 F&O (or Dynamics AX) development and customization.Strong understanding of Supply Chain Management and Finance and Operations modules.Proficiency in X++, C#, SQL, Azure DevOps, LCS, and GitHub for source control (preferred over TFS).Experience working with Dataverse and Synapse Link for D365, including data lake and table relationship design.Ability to create complex SQL queries that mirror D365 data entity behavior for integrations.Familiarity with DMF, OData, and Business Events for integrations.Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding tools in a professional environment.Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across distributed teams in an Agile environment.Preferred:Experience developing with Copilot Studio or Azure AI Foundry to support D365 or engineering workflows.Knowledge of Power Platform integration (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse).Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for D365 F&O.Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MB-300, MB-500, MB-330, DP-500).Work Schedule2:00 AM – 11:00 AM EST (Monday–Friday) If this sounds like you — or someone you know — DM me or share CV to nivetha.s@eminds.ai
