Job Title: Visual Concept LeaderThe role of a Visual Concept Leader is to develop the artistic vision for our games and ensure it is implemented effectively. The position requires an individual who can create engaging, high-quality visuals that drive player engagement.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain the overall visual style and direction for the game, ensuring consistency across all art assets.Work with the game design team to understand their vision and implement art concepts that align with their goals.Oversee the creation of 2D and 3D art assets, including character models, environments, props, animations, UI, and effects.Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely delivery of art assets and optimize them for mobile performance.Review and approve art assets to maintain quality, consistency, and technical feasibility.Drive innovation in visual storytelling by exploring new techniques, shaders, workflows, effects, and rendering styles.Ensure assets adhere to platform constraints (iOS / Android / different hardware tiers).Represent the art team in cross-functional leadership meetings and external presentations.QualificationsDegree in Fine Arts, Illustration, or a related field.10+ years experience in creating game art, with a minimum of 5 years at senior level or above.Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of game art styles, polished final assets, and concept-to-delivery work.Experience working on published games from conception to release.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Other SkillsExpert knowledge of Photoshop.Good grasp of mobile performance constraints, optimization techniques, and memory/draw call limits.Understanding of fundamental art theory, including principles of color, light, composition, and anatomy.Proven ability to balance aesthetics with performance and usability.Proven ability to present clear documentation communicating ideas within the art team and to external clients.Excellent organization skills, anticipating, prioritizing, and planning own work.Considerable understanding of video games.
