Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in Automation Testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Core Java, Data-Driven Framework, Maven, and CI/CD processes. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure high-quality software releases and contribute to enhancing the efficiency of our testing processes.


Key Responsibilities:


Automated Test Script Development:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and Core Java.
  • Create reusable test scripts that improve the efficiency of the testing process for both front-end and back-end applications.

Framework Development & Maintenance:

  • Build and maintain Data-Driven Frameworks for automation testing.
  • Work with Maven to manage project dependencies and build automation scripts for different environments.
  • Optimize and refactor existing test scripts and frameworks to improve performance and maintainability.

Test Case Execution and Reporting:

  • Execute automated test scripts in various testing environments, ensuring all scenarios are covered.
  • Integrate TestNG to execute test suites, generate reports, and track test execution results.
  • Analyze and report on test results, identifying and troubleshooting issues related to application functionality.

CI/CD Integration:

  • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and deployment.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement automation testing in the CI/CD process, ensuring test automation is seamlessly integrated with build and deployment processes.
  • Monitor and maintain the CI/CD pipeline to ensure automated tests run smoothly as part of the software release process.

Collaboration with Development Teams:

  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand the requirements and ensure alignment between automated tests and software features.
  • Provide feedback to developers on issues found during automation testing, with an emphasis on quick resolution.

Documentation and Best Practices:

  • Document test scenarios, test cases, and test execution procedures.
  • Follow industry best practices for test automation, continuous improvement, and agile testing methodologies.
  • Continuous Learning & Improvement:
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest testing trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Suggest improvements to automation processes to enhance test coverage, execution speed, and overall quality.


Key Skills & Qualifications:


Technical Skills:

  • Selenium WebDriver: Strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver for functional and regression testing of web applications.
  • Core Java: Proficiency in Core Java for writing automation scripts and test cases.
  • TestNG: Expertise in using TestNG for executing and managing test cases, including handling test dependencies and parallel test execution.
  • Data-Driven Testing: Experience in creating Data-Driven Frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and TestNG for automating tests with multiple data sets.
  • Maven: Knowledge of Maven for project build, dependency management, and test execution in Data-Driven Framework.
  • CI/CD: Familiarity with integrating automation testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
  • Version Control: Experience working with Git for version control and managing code repositories.


Other Skills:

  • Automation Testing Best Practices: Knowledge of best practices in automation testing, including script optimization, reusability, and maintainability.
  • Bug Tracking & Reporting: Experience in defect tracking using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or other issue management systems.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile or Scrum development environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to debug automation scripts and identify issues in the software.


Education & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in Automation Testing.
  • Proven experience working with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Core Java, and Data-Driven Frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
