This role combines technical expertise with entrepreneurial spirit, driving innovation and growth.Create end-to-end architectures for patent-backed products, overseeing prototype development and technical due diligence.Supervise internal or partner teams in building AI, data, and cloud stack prototypes, ensuring commercial viability and patent readiness.Develop shared technical frameworks, documentation, and DevOps hygiene across the portfolio.Liaise with patent attorneys for technical drafting and claims clarity.Contribute to thought leadership and investor communication on tech differentiation, representing the company in client discussions.This part-time engagement offers flexibility and autonomy, with approximately 10 hours of work per week. The compensation structure includes equity, patent co-inventorship, and brand visibility within the organization's ecosystem.The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence. They should have demonstrated excellence in their field, with a proven track record of shipping MVPs or leading small engineering pods.A successful applicant will be able to communicate complex technical concepts effectively, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.Responsibilities:Technical architecture and engineeringPrototype development and testingPatent strategy and coordinationDevOps and infrastructure managementCommunication and stakeholder engagementRequirements:PhD preferred but not mandatory; advanced degree or equivalent industry experience acceptedDemonstrated track record of excellence in machine learning and AIStrong programming skills in Python and relevant libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Ability to operationalize open-source AI tools and frameworksThis is a rare opportunity to co-own and co-build a patent portfolio that addresses real-world problems through defensible AI products.
