About the roleWe are seeking a Design Manager with strong expertise in shop drawing review and approval for interior and architectural fit-out works. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between design intent, vendor execution, and site realities, ensuring timely approvals and seamless coordination for all long-lead delivery items.Key Responsibilities:1. Shop Drawing Review & ApprovalReview, comment, and approve shop drawings and technical submittals for:Modular & loose furnitureLighting fixturesCarpets & soft furnishingsFire-rated doorsSliding/folding partitionsToilet cubicles and other fit-out packagesEnsure drawings align with design intent, specifications, and site conditions.Coordinate closely with the design and execution teams to resolve discrepancies quickly.2. Vendor Coordination & Technical InterfaceLiaise with approved vendors and fabricators for timely submission and revision of shop drawings.Evaluate vendor technical capabilities and recommend appropriate partners for each package.Conduct pre-award technical evaluations and post-award coordination for material approvals and prototypes.3. Site Coordination & Quality ReviewUndertake periodic site visits to verify execution against approved drawings.Coordinate with the site team to address installation challenges, dimensional mismatches, or deviations.Participate in mock-up reviews and material inspections before rollout.4. Documentation & CommunicationMaintain a tracker for all shop drawing submissions, comments, and approvals.Ensure version control and traceability of all design approvals.Act as the single point of contact between the design studio, vendors, and project team for design clarifications.Preferred candidate profileQualifications & Experience:Bachelors degree in Architecture / Interior Design / Civil Engineering.8 -12 years of relevant experience in design coordination, technical review, and fit-out project delivery.Proven expertise in shop drawing evaluation for interior and architectural packages.Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and joinery details.Fair connect and working relationship with reputed vendors and suppliers in the corporate interiors domain.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and MS Office tools.Key Competencies:Strong technical eye for detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and coordination skills.Ability to manage multiple packages and vendors simultaneously.Problem-solving mindset with a delivery-focused approach.Collaborative attitude to work across design, procurement, and site teams.
