Job OpportunityWe are seeking a seasoned Data Engineering Project Manager to lead and deliver projects in data engineering and analytics.The successful candidate will manage cross-functional teams to execute data platform, pipeline, and analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery.A strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and analytics workflows is essential for this role.The Data Engineering Project Manager will collaborate with engineering, product, QA, and operations teams to define project requirements and success metrics.Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks) is highly desirable.This individual will develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.The successful candidate will lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.They will track project progress using tools like Jira, Confluence, and report status to stakeholders.Proactive identification and resolution of project blockers and dependencies is crucial for success.The Data Engineering Project Manager will ensure all technical documentation is current and aligned with project goals.Facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders is also a key responsibility.When applicable, the individual will manage third-party vendors or external contractors.Advocating for continuous improvement in processes, tools, and team efficiency is an important aspect of this role.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.No less than 8 years of experience in project management within a technical environment.A strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall).Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
