DescriptionThe Asia Group is now accepting applications for an Associate, Life Sciences to join our South Asia practice in New Delhi. This position will support the Senior Vice President and the broader South Asia practice based across New Delhi, Mumbai, and Washington D.C. The Associate role is offered as a full-time position.The Asia Group is a strategic and business advisory firm that supports Fortune 500 corporations with market entry and expansion strategies, stakeholder engagement strategies, and complex conflict resolution initiatives in the Indo-Pacific region. The Asia Group's clients cover a broad range of industries, including life sciences, technology, manufacturing, energy, financial services, hospitality, infrastructure, and defense.Associates play key roles in supporting the firm's research, analysis, and client engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in public policy and regulations in life sciences (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and/or other areas of healthcare). In addition, a successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to distill developments and trends into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for clients.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Support the South Asia team in servicing life sciences clients through execution of high-value-added deliverablesProactively track policy, market, and industry developments impacting client equities. Conduct thorough industry and policy research and analysis as well as business due diligenceLead the drafting of high-quality executive memos, reports, briefing materials, and other written products for external (client) and internal (TAG) audiences, often within short deadlinesActively participate in regular client engagements, including briefing sessions and workshops, alongside senior team membersSupport senior team members in facilitating the end-to-end management of visits by global client executivesProvide logistical and event support for client engagementsMay perform other tasks or special projects as needed according to business needs. RequirementsMaster's degree or equivalent academic/practical experience related to economic, industry, and policy issues in India/South Asia 3-5 years of prior work experience, preferably including in a client-servicing industry or governmentStrong and nuanced grasp of life sciences policy making and regulations in IndiaOutstanding research, analytical, and writing skillsStrong attention to detail, including under tight deadlines; excellent project management skillsProficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelExperience in data visualization and design a plusGenuine desire to learn, including through feedback from senior team members and peersTeam player with eagerness for professional developmentWe value professionals who are proactive in exploring new ways to work smarter. Ideal candidates will be comfortable using artificial intelligence tools — or excited to learn how — to increase efficiency, enhance analysis or deliverables, and generate innovative solutions. Familiarity with generative AI platforms or a growth mindset toward emerging technologies is a plus.
