Role Overview: In this role, you will have to act as a leader bridging the business team with investors and leading accountability towards goals. You will have responsibility for managing finance, budgeting & forecasting, compliances, and finan analysis & planning along with ensuring smooth day to day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Partnering, Strategy-
a. Partner with business and sales leaders to develop strategy for pricing, business expansion and contract value alignment.
b. Help in setting Company targets, monitoring and ensuring timely corrective actions.
2. Accounting and Financial Analysis -
a. Preparation of monthly & annual financials, MIS and Board Report
b. Ensure books of accounts of the company are correct and up to date at all times.
3. Funds Management and Compliances
a. Coordinating with various consultants and ensuring all the compliance- labor and commercial are regularly complied with.
b. Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs and available funds for investments
c. Revenue assurance and Accounts receivable
d. Collections management and maintaining relations with the debtors.
e. Own up and close audit- Statutory and Internal.
f. Own and complete due diligence- as and when required by investors/ potential investors.
4. Day to Day Operations
a. Manage & oversee daily operations of the Finance department.
b. Monitoring & Analyzing accounting data & preparing financial statements and MIS timely.
c. Review ledgers & co-ordinate with the team for book closure activities (monthly & annual)
d. Budgeting and consumption planning, along with variance analysis
e. Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
f. Manage outsourced functions
Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree + CA is mandatory; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
● 4-6 years of experience in business finance teams, Preferably in B technology or services; AI or SaaS, Prior experience in early-stage startups is a plus.
● Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
● Hands-on individual contributor
● Strong partnership and negotiation skillset proven in previous role
