We're emabarking on ambitious new initiative to sclae our tier-0 services for 10x growth. We are looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems and highly available services. An engineer at any level can have significant technical and business impact. ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the software engineering division, you will apply advanced knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems acccording to provided design specification. You will collaborate with principal engineers and architects on the team to build out next gen platform dataplane. Basic Qualifications: BS or MS degree in Computer Science or relevant techinical field involving coding or equivalent practical experienceStrong experience and detailed technical knowledge in PaaS engineering.Distributed cloud engineering experience in a software development environmentExperience developing service-oriented architectures and web services security solutionsDevelopment experience in Java/C++, C# as well as scripting languagesExperience working with other cloud platform teams and accommodating requirements from those teams (compute, networking, search, store).Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiencesComfortably in a collaborative, agile development environment.Preferred Qualifications• Deep understanding of object-oriented design and SDK development, specifically within a cloud environment• Familiarity and understanding of distributed computing and cloud-based platforms.• Understanding of cross-functional platform feature areas in cloud platforms.Oracle is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
