The driving force behind our success has always been the people of AspenTech What drives us is our aspiration our desire and ambition to keep pushing the envelope overcoming any hurdle challenging the status quo to continually find a better way You will experience these qualities of passion pride and aspiration in many ways from a rich set of career development programs to support of community service projects to social events that foster fun and relationship building across our global community The Role In this position you will design develop and improve technical documentation for AspenTech s OSI products and technologies Specific on-the-job training will be provided Your Impact Research write and edit documentation such as configuration guides user s guides and other related technical materials Develop an in-depth understanding of products to efficiently manage and deliver complex software documentation that meets the needs of the target audience Work closely with development teams subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to continually improve documentation Utilize ticket tracking system to ensure tasks stay on track and deadlines are met Apply design and style guides to existing documentation to ensure consistent look and feel across the documentation library What You ll Need Bachelor s degree in Technical Professional Writing English Engineering Computer Science or a related technical field 0-2 years of experience developing software or technical documentation Ability to quickly learn complex topics and software applications Keen eye for detail Thorough understanding of how to translate complex information into concise easy-to-follow instructions Excellent organizational and time management skills Preferred Experience Exposure to XML-based documentation authoring software such as MadCap Flare preferred Knowledge of HTML and web publishing Understanding of Agile methodology Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and Jama preferred LI-RR1
