Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and self-assured Sample Planner to play a crucial role in coordinating and expediting customer orders. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between customer service and manufacturing plants, manage purchase order backlogs, and contribute to the purchase order creation process. This role demands strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, high-pressure environment. Primary Purpose: - To coordinate the expedite process between customer service and manufacturing plants, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction. - To maintain purchase orders and assist in the purchase order creation process. - To facilitate Logistics Report preparation. Duties & Responsibilities: - Process all expedite requests sent by customer service and actively follow up with manufacturing plants to assure customer satisfaction. - Monitor and control all aspects of the purchase order backlog, including overdue orders, reschedules, unscheduled items, substitutions/replacements, and returns. - Assist senior planners in the purchase order creation process. - Undertake other duties as requested by Management, which are considered to be within the competence of the Post Holder. - Understand, support, and contribute to current Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO), and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures. - Perform other related duties as assigned by management. - Process all logistic report activities and send them to relevant stakeholders. Education: - Required: MBO-level degree plus evidence of continuous professional development. - In addition, good PC skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel) are required. - Preferred: Fluency in English is essential, while fluency in one of the other major languages (French, Mandarin Chinese, German) would be a distinct advantage. VBA Coding and knowledge in Excel would be an added advantage.
