Exide Energy Solutions Limited is looking for Procurement : Sheet Metal in the Manufacturing organisation to achieve company's goal at the Prantij, Gujarat, Battery Pack Manufacturing Location. Position Objective: Efficiently source, purchase, and manage the supply of Sheet Metal, Fasteners, Casting, and Machining components at optimal value, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery to support the organization's operational and strategic goals. Experience: • Total Experience: 8–10 Years • Relevant Experience: 6 Years in Sourcing of engineering components Mandatory Skills: • Procure to Pay process • Supplier Identification & Evaluation • Contract Negotiation & Management • Familiarity with Components (Sheet Metal, Casting, Forging, Machining) • DFM (Design for Manufacturing) Understanding • Cost Reduction Strategies • VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) • Supply Chain Management • Risk Management • Market Intelligence • Business Compliance Desired Skills: • Project Management • Time Management • Cross-Functional Collaboration • Strategic Thinking • Strong Negotiation • Proficient in MS Office and SAP/Oracle • Excellent Communication and Problem-solving Abilities Roles & Responsibilities: Sourcing & Supplier Management: • Identify and source Sheet Metal, Fasteners, Castings, Machining components aligned with organizational needs • Negotiate with suppliers for best pricing, quality, and delivery terms • Establish and manage long-term relationships with strategic suppliers • Ensure execution of contracts with adherence to commercial and legal compliance (NDA, Warranty Agreements, Supply Contracts, etc.) • Maintain ZBC (Zero Base Costing) and global benchmarking to ensure competitive pricing • Develop and implement sourcing strategies including supplier classification (Grow/Fix/Exit) Cost, Quality & Delivery: • Monitor and drive cost-reduction initiatives and VA/VE opportunities • Ensure timely procurement with 100% compliance to EESL DOA and zero deviation • Monitor supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality adherence, and cost targets) • Collaborate with Quality teams to ensure supplier quality through audits and issue resolution Strategic Initiatives & Risk Mitigation: • Conduct market intelligence to track trends, innovations, and supply chain risks • Develop contingency sourcing plans and mitigate supply chain disruptions • Ensure preparedness for IATF audits and drive zero non-conformance Documentation & Reporting: • Maintain accurate documentation of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier correspondence • Support budgeting, cost forecasting, and financial reporting related to sourcing activities Key Impact on Organization: • Enable best-in-class component pricing leveraging Exide's brand value • Drive competitiveness in the EV battery segment through strategic sourcing • Deliver high-quality parts timely to support seamless manufacturing and customer satisfaction
