Job Description: Experience: 8 -15 Years ( Offshore Oil & Gas ) Electrical Designer is responsible for the design from the concept to detail engineering. Responsibilities will include implementing project policies, systems & procedures. Coordinating with the Lead Engineer, studying specifications and procedures for engineering. Key Responsibilities: - Electrical Designer with experience of 4-7 years in Physical Design in Offshore Oil &Gas sector. - Experienced in cable tray routing, underground cable routing, grounding & lightning protection, Lighting design etc. Knowledge of lighting calculation, tray / trench sizing calculation etc. - Experienced in 3D modelling of Cable Route/Lighting/Electrical equipment with PDMS / E3D/ SP3D (S3D)/ PDS, extraction of 2D layout from 3D model and 2D layout with AutoCAD / MicroStation / Smart Sketch. - Prior experience as checker/reviewer for electrical design deliverables. - Knowledge of IEC, NEC, NFPA, IEEE and other international codes Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor’s/Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering - 04- 07 years of domain experience required. - Offshore Experience is Mandatory. Software: - E3D - PDMS Technical and Business Skills: - Excellent written and oral English skills. - Strong organizational, planning and coordination, People Management skills. - Strong technical, prioritization and management skills. - Good communication, influencing and interface skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs. - Experience in Engineering Design software programs such as: Revit MEP, Navisworks.
