About Careem Careem is THE internet platform for the greater Middle East region A pioneer of the region s ride-hailing economy Careem is expanding services across its platform to include mass transportation delivery and payments to become the region s everyday SuperApp Careem s mission is to simplify and improve the lives of people and build a lasting organisation that inspires Careem was established in July 2012 and was acquired by Uber in 2020 Careem operates in over 100 cities across 14 countries and has created more than one million employment opportunities in the region The role is responsible for driving data-driven insights and strategies to fuel user acquisition engagement and retention across Careem s platform and verticals The role holder will leverage advanced data analytics understanding of consumer behavior and prior grasp of key fundamental digital growth metrics to define and analyze growth opportunities optimize campaigns and initiatives and improve key metrics such as CAC conversion rate and reactivation rate Key Accountabilities Data Collection and Preparation Extract Data Retrieve data from multiple sources SQL databases APIs and third-party tools to support analysis Data Cleaning and Wrangling Prepare and clean datasets to ensure accuracy and usability for analysis Maintain Data Integrity Regularly verify and maintain data quality ensuring consistent and reliable information for decision-making Automate Data Pipelines Develop and refine scripts to automate repetitive data tasks improving efficiency Analysis and Insights Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis EDA Perform preliminary analysis to uncover trends patterns and initial insights at channel vertical and campaign level A B Testing Design run and analyze A B tests to measure the effectiveness of growth initiatives User Behavior Analysis Analyze user activity segment performance and identify key behavior trends to support user growth engagement and retention Predictive Analysis Apply advanced statistical techniques to forecast trends and potential outcomes Reporting and Visualization Build Dashboards Develop and maintain dashboards e g in Tableau Power BI to provide real-time insights to stakeholders Generate Regular Reports Create and distribute weekly and monthly reports on key metrics and performance indicators Visualize Data Present insights through clear visualizations to make complex data understandable and actionable KPI Tracking Track and report on core growth KPIs including retention churn and acquisition metrics Drive insightand optimization Skills and Competencies 4-5 years of proven experience in a similar role preferably in alarge-scale B2C startup Food delivery e-commerce gaming orconsumer internet business Well-versed in data mining statistical modeling and advanced data analysis Strong hold ofPython SQL and data visualization tools Strong understanding ofA B Testing Regression Analysis User Segmentation Cohort analysis and churn modeling CLTV models Expert in Web and mobile measurement partners adjust appsflyer singular Good communication and story telling skills with the ability to effectively present results to both technical and non-technical audiences
