Information Technology Executive Location: Madurai, India (Hybrid) Contract: 3 months (with extension opportunity) Type: Part-time/Full-time About the Project We are launching an innovative community initiative based in Madurai that aims to foster meaningful dialogue and engagement on important societal issues. This project seeks to build an inclusive digital platform where every Indian can participate in constructive discourse, regardless of linguistic or technological barriers. Role Overview We are seeking a motivated individual to take ownership of building, managing, and promoting our community's digital infrastructure, including content management and discourse systems. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to create and curate engaging content that drives meaningful community participation. This role offers exceptional learning opportunities with comprehensive training provided in CMS and enterprise management systems. Key Responsibilities - Build and maintain the community's content management system - Manage and moderate the discourse platform to ensure constructive engagement - Create and curate content that resonates with diverse community members - Collaborate with the project principal through regular in-person meetings - Support multilingual accessibility, with initial focus on Tamil and English content - Help ensure technology does not become a barrier to community participation Required Qualifications Essential: - Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills - English proficiency (spoken and written) - minimum Class VIII level - Mathematics proficiency - minimum Class VIII level - Tamil proficiency (spoken and written) - minimum Class X level - Comfortable with computers, tablets, and mobile devices Preferred (not required - training will be provided): - Exposure to programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, PHP) - Familiarity with additional Indian languages - Experience with server operating systems (Linux, FreeBSD) - Knowledge of Content Management Systems (WordPress, Drupal) Working Arrangement - Minimum Commitment: 20 hours per week - On-site Requirements: 6 hours per week in Madurai (2-3 days) - Virtual Meetings: 2 hours per week with remote stakeholders - Flexibility: Part-time or full-time options available Compensation & Benefits - Base Salary: ₹10,000 per month - Guaranteed Performance Bonus: Minimum 20% - Comprehensive training in all required software systems at no cost - Opportunity for contract extension and role expansion
