Lead Hardware Engineer

Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hardware Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in PCB design and layout. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in using Altium Designer to create high-quality, high-speed PCB designs, manage component libraries, and optimize layouts for manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop complex PCBs for various applications, including high-speed, mixed-signal, and power electronics. - Create, maintain, and manage component libraries in Altium Designer. - Optimize PCB layouts for signal integrity, power distribution, thermal performance, and manufacturability. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, mechanical designers, and firmware developers, to ensure seamless integration of PCB designs. - Generate detailed manufacturing documentation, including fabrication and assembly drawings, Gerber files, and Bill of Materials (BOM). - Conduct design reviews to validate layouts and ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements. - Perform design simulations and analysis, such as impedance control and signal integrity testing. - Support prototype development, testing, and debugging processes. - Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and best practices in PCB design and Altium Designer features. Requirements Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of proven experience in PCB design using Altium Designer. - Expertise in high-speed PCB design, including differential pair routing, impedance control, and multilayer designs. - Proficiency in managing and maintaining Altium component libraries. - Strong understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles. - Knowledge of industry standards such as IPC and EMC/EMI compliance. - Familiarity with 3D integration and collaboration with mechanical design tools. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Skills: - Experience with power electronics and mixed-signal designs. - Familiarity with schematic capture and system-level design processes. - Knowledge of thermal management techniques and PCB manufacturing processes. - Hands-on experience with testing and debugging PCB assemblies.
