Career Area Product Support Your Work Shapes the World at Caterpillar Inc When you join Caterpillar you re joining a global team who cares not just about the work we do - but also about each other We are the makers problem solvers and future world builders who are creating stronger more sustainable communities We don t just talk about progress and innovation here - we make it happen with our customers where we work and live Together we are building a better world so we can all enjoy living in it Performs the function of Illustrated Parts lister on projects Conducts in-depth analysis of engineering drawings service bulletins schematics and modifications to interpret data for inclusion in the IPL Create sales order specific Illustrated Parts list volume for both New Production and Retrofit Customers This volume will be produced using established database material and by creating new material combined from multiple information sources Additional responsibilities may include the development and maintenance of the database that supports this volume and will make sure database materials comply with the applicable standards Creation modification of illustrations based on Iso Draw Job Requirements Thorough knowledge of creating Illustrated Parts list Experience with XML SGML Arbortext or similar publishing software database management software and the documentation publishing industry Ability to interface with Engineering and shop floor personnel for clarifications in the Engineering input documents Ability to read schematics electrical drawings and bill of material Ability to create Illustrated Parts list from multiple information sources like BOM Engineering Drawing and existing Database Knowledge of Industrial Turbine Machinery including control electrical and hydro-mechanical systems The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision PC Windows skills and with familiarity with programs Adobe Acrobat CREO Windchill and the Microsoft suite of office software are a positive Knowledge of commercial publication specifications Possesses strong technical knowledge in a specific turbomachinery application such as Compressors Generators or mechanical drives Communicates effectively with global partners and coordinates with team members within the group Recognize opportunities for process improvement Ability to work independently and as part of a team Provides mentorship and guidance to other team members Desirable Qualification BE Mechanical Aeronautical Engineering Ability to read understand Process and Instrument Diagram P ID and Electrical Loops and Schematics ELS Maximum 3 years of experience in Power generation or wind turbines or O G or Aerospace or Automobile industry Wide exposure to integrate with related fields of procurement supply chain manufacturing service parts are preferred Good communication organizational teaming mentoring and analytical skills are a must Skill Descriptors Customer Focus Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions Level Basic Understanding Focuses activities on developing and maintaining positive customer relationships Discusses general differences between internally and externally focused organizations Cites the cost and benefits of good versus poor customer service Explains why customer satisfaction is important to successful product service delivery Data Gathering Analysis Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools techniques and processes ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion goal or judgment Level Basic Understanding Describes alternative data-gathering techniques and tools Documents basic data-gathering methodologies Identifies the purposes of data gathering and analysis Identifies key objectives in gathering and analyzing data Posting Dates November 10 2025 - November 23 2025 Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer Qualified applicants of any age are encouraged to apply Not ready to apply Join our
