Job Overview We are seeking a Fashion Designer for a full-time, mid-level position at our headquarters in Delhi. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of experience and a solid foundation in designing women's ethnic wear. If you have a passion for fashion and a keen eye for detail, this is an excellent opportunity to further your career in a dynamic environment. Qualifications and Skills - In-depth knowledge as a fashion designer or merchandiser specializing in Ladies Ethnic Wear such as ethnic dresses, suits, kurtis, lehengas, and gowns (Mandatory skill). - Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Mandatory skill). - Expertise in design applications with a strong command of Photoshop and a basic understanding of Corel Draw (Mandatory skill). - Educational background from Pearl Academy or NIFT is required (Mandatory skill). - Experience in handling womens wear designs with a focus on ethnic apparel is essential. - Proficiency in managing dyeing processes, enhancing fabric appeal with vibrant colors. - Skilled in block printing techniques, adding intricate patterns to fabric designs. - Competency in both machine and hand embroidery, showcasing detailed artistry in designs. Roles and Responsibilities - Develop creative and innovative designs in womens ethnic fashion, aligning with current trends. - Collaborate with the production team to ensure the accuracy and quality of the final product. - Conduct market research to understand the latest fashion trends and consumer preferences. - Translate conceptual ideas into tangible designs using design software and sketching. - Oversee the production process, ensuring design integrity and manufacturing quality. - Coordinate with suppliers for fabric selection and procurement to ensure timely availability. - Participate in fashion shows and exhibitions to highlight the companys latest collections. - Provide feedback on prototypes and suggest modifications to enhance design effectiveness.
