Software Research Development Manager

Centum is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Design Manager to lead our software development team in designing scalable, high-performance, and maintainable software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in software architecture and design, combined with proven leadership and project management skills. What You'll Do  Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Define and drive software architecture and design strategies aligned with product and business goals. Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. Ensure adherence to coding standards, design principles, and best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, QA, product management, and UX/UI design. Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful execution. Conduct design and code reviews to ensure quality and performance. Evaluate and integrate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance development efficiency.  Support risk management, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues.  Develop the software that manages electronic devices. Key values, beliefs, and attitudes Good written and verbal communication skills Good planning and organization skills Who You are? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.  15+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.  Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, or C#. Strong proficiency in Operatins systems like Windows, Linux, RTOS such as VX works and integrity.  Experience with software architecture, design patterns, and system integration.  Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.  Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.  Ability to trace difficult problems using a variety of tools (debugger, JTAG emulator, logic analyser, oscilloscope  Knowledge of serial interfaces and peripherals (I2S, I2C, SPI, 10G/25G Ethernet).  Knowledge of GCC compiler/linker and debugging tools on Windows/Linux platform  Good Knowledge of communication protocols TCP/IP, security protocols and UDP.
