R&D 5G Core Technical Program Leader

Job Description Job Description Program Leader shall utilise knowledge of systems engineering processes (specification & architecture). Processing of use case and feature requirements into conceptual models, operational scenarios, technical requirements, and functional description. Covers specification, design, implementation, and unit testing of Software (e.g. device drivers, microcode, hardware-related software & firmware) according to the requirements and architecture defined in the systems engineering process. Covers establishment and maintenance of Software Configuration Management (SCM) practices into software development projects, continuously building and integrating infrastructure tools and systems. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn - Own large/complex features having impact outside own areas of expertise. - Develop comprehensive project plans, defining timelines, milestones, and resource requirements. - Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery. - Overall responsibility (architecture, design, feature work, quality) for product. - Consults regularly for the multiple areas of functionality within expertise. - Reinvents how related activities are conducted in new, innovative, revolutionary ways - leads change. - Develop strategies for product evolution, Lead the design, development, and validation of 5G Core network functions, ensuring alignment with 3GPP standards and industry best practices. - Provide technical guidance to engineering teams, ensuring architectural consistency and innovative problem-solving approaches. Key Skills And Experience Must to have - Management Experience with at least 10+ years of experience with BE/B.Tech. Degree - Strong influencing skills, with established relationships at senior and officer level (CxO) executives - Mastery of Packet Core with a broad perspective. - Strong understanding of 5G Core network functions (AMF, SMF, UPF, etc.) and associated protocols (e.g., HTTP/2, PFCP, NGAP). - Proven track record in technical program management, with expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Experience with cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architectures. Good to have - People agility - solid people/team coaching and mentorship. - Innovative thinking for driving research breakthroughs. - Adaptability to fast-evolving telecom technologies. - Mentorship and team-building capabilities for fostering technical growth.
