12 Lead a dynamic team of Security professionals as part of the Global Security Group Eg Kindly incorporate the main skillset required for this position according to the title JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT To protect the Corporation its customers employees and assets by Planning and implementing security programs of FedEx management employee groups customers Implementing loss prevention programs for conducting investigations into theft pilferage and other acts against the Corporation its customers employees and assets Maintaining and updating a crisis management program for all senior members of the Corporation Establishing and maintaining liaison with the various law enforcement agencies to ensure prompt and adequate responses to FedEx and other government bodies security investigations To provide matrix support to all levels of management including professional advice on all security matters To ensure compliance with Regional Aviation Security legislation KEY RESULT AREAS ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible for Security Technology Aviation Security and Security Operations activities at company facilities in conformity with country specific Aviation Security regulatory directives and FedEx standards Security systems procurement maintenance and disposal Support gateway project implementation in the region Local gateway security support for regional gateways and hubs in the region Preparation and implementation of aviation security programs Security Guarding Monitoring Loss Prevention Enforcement Investigations Security Customer Management Contracts Management Responsible for overseeing and managing aviation security operations at existing and upcoming regional gateways To provide support to ensure compliance and consistency with security policies and procedures Employee and Team administrative activities including hiring Conduct effective performance reviews implementation of training development initiatives and consistent application of company policy Contribute to the review of standard operating procedures contracts and other relevant documents Conduct security planning Co-ordinate security assessments of facilities and businesses for the organization Contribute to the development of security plans including the ground protection plan as related to gateway facilities and Regulated Agent sites Support the coordination of regulatory inspections and audits Coordinate with internal departments airport authorities and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration Respond to emergencies and incidents following the agreed procedures Maintain effective liaison with Aviation security regulator law enforcing agencies airport operator and other internal and external stakeholders Assist in functional budgets cost control and support business development and network improvement plans Eg Job specification and description qualification experience relevant technical skills and anything which will be an attraction for the candidature to succeed in the role What you can expect ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE Good leadership skills Fluent in English Fluent in local languages Substantial experience in law enforcement or commercial security In depth knowledge of the structure of investigations including statement taking and compilation of reports Experience of assessing facilities in terms of security requirements Knowledge of electronic security systems Experience of assessing risk to facilities equipment vehicles and specification of required security measures Good knowledge of VIP protection procedures In depth knowledge of loss prevention techniques with the ability to develop loss prevention procedures In depth knowledge of security regulations laws Good understanding of how a complex business is structured including key processes systems and key functions including the interdependencies In depth knowledge of FedEx operation network related computer systems and structure requirements for GSPs Experience of managing department project budget SKILLS Interpersonal Skills Leadership Skills Planning Organizing Skills Judgement Decision Making Skills Presentation Skills Analytical Skills Project Management Skills Time management skills RELEVANT EXPERIENCE Five 10 years of relevant work experience QUALIFICATIONS LICENCE S Education Bachelor s degree or equivalent in any discipline Language Proficency in English Basic AVSEC qualification desireable Security Certifications like CPP CFE etc would be added advantage Eg A supportive and inclusive work environment Exposure to real-world projects Interpersonal Skills Judgement Decision Making Skills Leadership Skills Planning Organizing Skills Project Management SkillsLanguage Proficiency in English Certification Permit Certification Permit Certification to Operate X-ray Security Equipment Certifications in Use of Specialized Equipment or Subject Knowledge
