DESCRIPTION We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to serve as a technical leader in our new Bangalore organization architecting the next generation of AI-powered seller support systems As a founding senior engineer you will shape the technical direction of our platform while mentoring teams and establishing engineering excellence You will drive the technical architecture of our intelligent support platform focusing on complex distributed systems that integrate LLMs automated routing and real-time processing capabilities Your work will directly impact Amazon s ability to transform its seller support experience consolidating various tools into a unified AI-powered platform serving large seller base globally This role presents a unique opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a new organization while solving complex problems at Amazon scale The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership abilities and a passion for mentoring engineers Success in this role means delivering architecturally sound solutions that can scale to Amazon s needs while establishing technical practices that will serve as the foundation for our growing organization Key job responsibilities Lead the technical architecture for major components of our AI platform including LLM integration intelligent routing systems and automated response generation Design scalable and resilient distributed systems that can handle Amazon s global seller support volume Drive technical decisions across multiple teams ensuring system cohesion and engineering excellence Establish architectural patterns and best practices for AI ML system implementation Create technical roadmaps for complex multi-quarter initiatives Mentor SDEs and SDMs raising the technical bar for the organization Partner with senior leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions Lead design reviews and architecture discussions across teams BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience - 5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - 5 years of leading design or architecture design patterns reliability and scaling of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience - Bachelor s degree in computer science or equivalent Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process including support for the interview or onboarding process please visit for more information If the country region you re applying in isn t listed please contact your Recruiting Partner
