Some careers shine brighter than others If you re looking for a career that will help you stand out join HSBC and fulfil your potential Whether you want a career that could take you to the top or simply take you in an exciting new direction HSBC offers opportunities support and rewards that will take you further HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world with operations in 64 countries and territories We aim to be where the growth is enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper and ultimately helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr consultant specialist In this role you will Lead the design development and enhancement of Restful APIs for automation and integration Drive automation of RedHat Linux Windows and virtualization platforms with an emphasis on reliability repeatability and scale Lead engineering delivery for developing templates playbooks and workflows on Ansible Automation Platform AAP Define create and manage Ansible roles and modular content suitable for enterprise reuse Design and implement secrets management for applications using standard approved secrets management tools Increase speed of provisioning availability and performance through automation templating and platform hardening Collaborate with Agile teams Architects and Product Owners to evaluate options and implement the most optimal technical solutions Ensure automation solutions meet compliance audit and security requirements and produce evidence artifacts for audits Lead and execute migrations of technology stacks and automation content between platforms and environments Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members and contribute to structured upskilling programs Innovate and pilot new solutions and ensure products leverage appropriate modern technology stacks while maintaining enterprise standards Contribute to CI CD pipeline design and automation testing strategies to validate automation artifacts before production rollout To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements Bachelor s degree in computer science engineering or related field 8-15 years of relevant industry experience with progressive technical ownership 5 years of hands-on development experience and proven SME capabilities in developing Ansible playbooks Jenkins Shell Groovy roles and templates on Ansible Automation Platform Strong understanding of how to leverage AAP features to automate and govern a large enterprise server estate Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and common platform modules Proficient in Python with practical experience building automation libraries and RESTful APIs exposure to Java Spring Boot APIs is advantageous Advanced skills in developing and testing automation using Ansible Playbooks and integrating with Jenkins or equivalent via API calls Hands-on experience with CI CD pipelines Nexus SAST DSAST deployment tooling code management at scale using GitHub or equivalent Experience working with Agile practices and toolsets including JIRA and Confluence Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence and present to stakeholders at all levels Proven ability to work with and coordinate across globally distributed teams and stakeholders Experience authoring scripts in PowerShell and Bash and a practical understanding of server OS internals Demonstrable track record of delivering compliant production-grade automation in a large organisationYou ll achieve more when you join HSBC www hsbc com careers HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued respected and opinions count We take pride in providing a workplace that fosters continuous professional development flexible working and opportunities to grow within an inclusive and diverse environment Personal data held by the Bank relating to employment applications will be used in accordance with our Privacy Statement which is available on our website Issued by - HSBC Software Development India
