Who We're Looking For The Sr Data Engineer is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems or building new solutions from ground up. This role will work with developers, architects, product managers and data analysts on data initiatives and ensure optimal data delivery with good performance and uptime metrics. Your behaviors align strongly with our values because ours do. - Some of What You'll Do Scope of the Role: - Direct Reports:This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports Who We're Looking For This position is responsible for building, delivering, enhancing, and supporting Syniverse Business Intelligence Products and Services. The incumbent will be technically hands on, possess a good experience and skill across engineering functions. Also has strong analytical, business logic and problem resolution skills with strong exposure in software design processes and methods. Also work closely with other functional areas to ensure that project schedules are met with a high level of quality. Will also provide technical leadership to the team. Other responsibilities include mentoring of team members and the evaluation of new technologies. The Lead BI Developer is responsible for defining and implementing the testing methodology for cross-functional and non cross-functional projects and for participating in, and supporting all required testing activities to ensure all process controls are adhered to and completed in a timely and cost effective manner. Key Responsibilities - Understand the Project domain and architecture, requirement and design/approach related to the project tasks assigned to the individual. - Consult with other cross functional teams, customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance. - Possess good knowledge of the Product Architecture and DB Architecture - Development of software modules conforming to the functional/ performance/ user experience requirements - Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware, or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance - Assisting peers in product and systems technical details, management of issues and all aspects of the respective role - Build and demonstrate proof of concept - Should manage issues of differing stages of investigation and priority with Inputs from team members Experience, Education, and Certifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience - 7-10 years of relevant professional experience in the areas of application development and support, problem management, data analysis and design for utilization, BI tools, programming for data utilization, software development for products testing and Quality Assurance - Full development lifecycle in an agile methodology, scrum processes (incl. test driven development, continuous integration), change and release management - A thorough understanding of data warehouse concepts and methodologies, strong star schema modeling skills as applied to BI application architecture - Strong Development/Hands on experience as BI developer with Microstrategy - Additional knowledge of Power BI, Tableau and Python are added plus - Hands-on experience in project design using Developer/Workstation/Library - Knowledge of SDLC and change management for the MSTR platform, including Object Manager, Project Merge and testing automation using Integrity Manager. - Why You Should Join Us Join us as we write a new chapter, guided by world-class leadership.
