Role Summary: The Factory Production Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of in-house and third-party manufacturing operations for beauty and personal care products. The role ensures seamless production planning, quality adherence, manpower utilization, and cost-efficient output in compliance with GMP, ISO 22716, and other regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Production Management · Plan, schedule, and execute production across in-house and contract manufacturing units. · Oversee daily plant operations and ensure timely achievement of production targets. · Track yield, output efficiency, and resource utilization to minimize wastage and downtime. Material & Inventory Control · Manage raw material and packaging material (RM/PM) inventory — including receipt, issue, and reconciliation. · Coordinate with the procurement and warehouse teams for material availability and stock accuracy. · Monitor batch yields, wastage analysis, and control reports. Quality & Compliance · Ensure production is carried out in accordance with GMP, ISO 22716, BIS, and statutory requirements. · Collaborate with QA/QC for raw material approval, in-process checks, and finished product release. · Maintain all production documentation such as BMR, BPR, and other regulatory records. · Drive adherence to hygiene, safety, and environmental protocols across facilities. Vendor & Third- Party Coordination · Liaise with third-party manufacturers for batch planning, execution, and compliance alignment. · Conduct regular audits, monitor performance, and ensure consistent product quality. · Coordinate with R&D for product scale-up and new product introductions. People & Process Leadership · Supervise and train production staff, operators, and supervisors to enhance productivity. · Enforce workplace discipline, shift schedules, and manpower optimization. · Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Key Skills & Competencies · Production & Process Control · GMP, ISO 22716 & Quality Compliance · RM/PM & Inventory Management · Third-Party / Contract Manufacturing · QA/QC & Documentation Practices · Cost Control & Operational Efficiency · Leadership & Team Management · Factory Licensing & Audit Readiness · Technical and Mechanical Knowledge Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetic Technology, Chemical Engineering, or Production Management. · 5–10 years of experience in beauty, personal care, or FMCG manufacturing, including third-party handling. · Strong understanding of GMP, ISO 22716, BIS, and cosmetic regulatory norms. · Proficiency in SAP, Excel, or other production management systems.
