Job Description Job Title: Electrical Engineer Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Location: Saudi Arabia Job Type: Full-Time Employer: Reputed Company in Saudi Arabia Job Summary The Testing & Commissioning Electrical Engineer will be responsible for verifying, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning all electrical systems to ensure they operate safely and according to project specifications, SEC/SASO standards, and international codes. The role requires hands-on expertise in high/low voltage systems, strong analytical skills, and experience in inspecting and validating complex electrical installations. Key Responsibilities Testing & Commissioning Execution - Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for LV/HV electrical systems. - Conduct testing procedures such as insulation resistance, continuity, megger testing, high-pot tests, and functional tests. - Test and commission MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, generators, transformers, switchgear, UPS, lighting systems, motors, and power distribution networks. - Verify protection relays, breakers, control systems, and interlocks. Documentation & Reporting - Prepare T&C method statements, ITPs, and checklists. - Maintain all test reports, calibration certificates, and commissioning documents. - Provide daily progress reports and final commissioning documentation for handover. Coordination - Coordinate with consultants, clients, third-party testing agencies, and construction teams. - Attend project meetings to discuss commissioning schedules and technical issues. - Ensure all commissioning works follow approved shop drawings and project specifications. Compliance & Safety - Ensure adherence to Saudi Electrical Code (SEC/SASO) and relevant international standards (IEC/IEEE). - Follow all safety procedures while working on energized equipment. - Participate in risk assessments and ensure necessary safety permits (LOTO). Troubleshooting & Quality Assurance - Identify defects, diagnose failures, and recommend corrective actions. - Ensure systems perform as per design intent and energy efficiency requirements. - Support QA/QC team to close NCRs related to electrical systems. Requirements Education - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. - SCE (Saudi Council of Engineers) registration preferred. Experience - 37 years of experience in Testing & Commissioning of electrical systems. - Experience in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects. - GCC experience preferred. Technical Skills - Strong knowledge of T&C procedures for LV/HV systems. - Familiar with testing tools (Megger, Earth Tester, Relay Test Set, Multimeter, etc.). - Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, and T&C documents. - Familiarity with SEC/SASO, IEC, IEEE standards. Soft Skills - Strong communication and reporting skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet commissioning deadlines. - Good coordination and problem-solving skills.
