Java Backend Developer

Job Description We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building scalable backend services using Java, Microservices architecture, and Kafka, along with exposure to front-end frameworks (Angular/React) to collaborate effectively on end-to-end product development. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. - Build and deploy microservices for high-performance, distributed systems. - Implement event-driven architectures and real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka. - Design and integrate secure, efficient RESTful APIs and Java-based APIs. - Collaborate with front-end teams working in Angular/React to deliver seamless user experiences. - Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices. - Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization. - Contribute to architecture discussions and propose innovative solutions. - Work with DevOps teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and deployment. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+) and Spring Boot framework. - Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and service orchestration. - Proficiency with Apache Kafka for event-driven and streaming applications. - Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs. - Familiarity with Angular or React for front-end collaboration. - Good knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). - Understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). - Strong problem-solving skills, debugging, and performance optimization expertise. - Solid understanding of software engineering best practices (Agile, TDD, CI/CD). Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Knowledge of API security standards (OAuth2, JWT). - Exposure to message brokers other than Kafka (e.g., RabbitMQ). - Experience with monitoring tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
