Job Description Description We are seeking a skilled Medical Coder specializing in emergency management for outpatient services. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in medical coding and a solid understanding of emergency preparedness in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities - Perform accurate medical coding for outpatient services, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Assist in the management of emergency preparedness and response plans for the healthcare facility. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate documentation and coding of patient records. - Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure coding accuracy and adherence to policies. - Provide training and support to new staff on medical coding procedures and emergency management protocols. Skills and Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or a related field. - Certification in medical coding (such as CPC, CCS, or CCA) is preferred. - Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. - Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards in India. - Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for accurate coding and documentation. - Excellent communication skills for collaboration with healthcare teams and for training purposes. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
