Job Description Key Responsibilities 1. Leadership and Team Management - Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians in the instrumentation and control section. - Assign tasks, set priorities, and evaluate team performance. - Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to team members. - Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and procedures. 2. Operations and Maintenance - Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems. - Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs. - Coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and ensure efficient system operations. - Ensure the availability of spare parts and resources for instrumentation systems. 3. System Design and Development - Plan, design, and implement upgrades or modifications to instrumentation and control systems. - Review and approve engineering designs and specifications related to instrumentation. - Ensure compatibility of new systems with existing infrastructure. 4. Compliance and Standards - Ensure all instrumentation and control systems meet industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines. - Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments for systems under the section's purview. - Maintain documentation, including manuals, schematics, and calibration records. 5. Budget and Resource Management - Prepare and manage the section's budget, including forecasting costs for equipment, labor, and projects. - Negotiate with vendors and contractors for instrumentation-related procurement and services. 6. Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, efficiency, and reliability. - Implement best practices and emerging technologies in instrumentation and control. - Lead initiatives for automation and digital transformation within the section. Qualifications and Requirements Education - Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics, Control Systems, or a related field. - A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ISA, TUV Functional Safety) is a plus.
