Job Purpose: This role is responsible to manage the availability and functionality of Control & Instrumentation (C&I) systems related to CHP, Fire Detection, Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Public Address (PA) systems, Belt weigher, In motion and wagon tippler weighing system. This includes managing regular maintenance, system inspections, and backups, as well as coordinating calibration and maintenance activities with contract manpower. Responsibilities Lead - Field instrumentation Engineer CHP_Fire detection_CCTV_PA systems (BoP) System Availability And Maintenance Manage the availability of C&I systems related to CHP, Fire detection, CCTV, Air compressors and PA systems. Conduct on-field regular maintenance and inspections of the CHP area to prevent system failures and prolong equipment life. Schedule and execute routine backups of PLC systems to safeguard against data loss and ensure system recoverability. Manage the timely calibration of Belt weigher systems to maintain accurate measurement and operational efficiency. Manage the healthiness of fire sensors and detection systems through regular monitoring and proactive maintenance. Coordinate with business associates for CHP, Fire detection, CCTV, and PA systems to ensure seamless operations and maintenance of systems. Provide on-field support for Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Zero Forced Outage (ZFO) to enhance system reliability. Implement MoC (Management of Change) protocols to ensure safe and compliant modifications to equipment and processes. Budget, Inventory And Documentation Management Provide requirements focusing on the needs of C&I systems for CHP, Fire detection, CCTV, and PA systems to ensure budget management. Prepare and manage spares and inventory, executing the development of indigenous spares for cost optimization. Manage documentation and as-built drawings for the section. Business Sustainability Implement and Follow IMS, AWMS, DISHA and CHETNA guidelines within the department, promoting a culture of compliance and excellence. Actively participate in the execution of the DISHA process, integrating best practices into daily operations. Develop growth of Contractor Supervisors and Technicians by facilitating knowledge transfer. Maintain the safety of personnel, including business associates and equipment through rigorous training and strict adherence to safety protocols. Maintain a thorough understanding of PLC systems for CHP and Fire systems to ensure compliance with technical specifications. Implement field related ZFO to achieve zero human error and maintain the highest quality standards. Ensure the implementation of and compliance with proper work permit systems for operational safety and efficiency. Ensure adherence to statutory compliances and regulations. Digitization And Automation Execute comprehensive digitization strategies to optimize operational efficiency across all C&I systems. Implement process and system improvements, adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas to stay ahead of industry trends. Key Stakeholders - Internal Techno Commercial Operations & Maintenance Security Stores Fire Department Key Stakeholders - External Vendor Adani West Port Qualifications Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in C&I or Electronics & Communication or equivalent degree. Work Experience (Range Of Years) 8+ years of experience in field instrumentation engineering, specifically with CHP, Fire detection, CCTV, and PA systems. Preferred Industry Experience in power generation, with exposure to BoP (Balance of Plant) operations including coal handling plant, water treatment plant and ash handling plant, CCTV, PA systems, FDA systems, etc.
