About The Role As a Senior Product Manager within athenahealth's Internal Developer Platform (IDP) R&D Experience zone, you will own and drive the vision, strategy, and execution of unified CI/CD pipeline services utilizing CI/CD platforms, such as Harness, for all of R&D. This role is critical to improving developer productivity, standardizing technology and deployment processes, and providing scalable, secure, and reliable pipelines for all engineering teams. Key Responsibilities - Lead the product development and lifecycle management of a unified Harness-based CI/CD pipeline platform for all teams across athenahealth. - Demonstrate knowledge of CI/CD concepts, DevOps/DevSecOps practices, and software delivery pipelines, with the ability to engage effectively with technical teams and stakeholders. - Collaborate closely with multiple internal customer teams (engineering, product, DevOps) to gather feedback, understand needs, and advocate for a best-in-class developer experience. - Partner with critical internal stakeholders, including security, infrastructure, and platform engineering, to ensure pipeline offerings meet compliance, stability, performance, security policies, and operational standards. - Own the Product backlog, prioritize features, enhancements and roadmap initiatives based on their value and measurable impact, ensuring that efforts are always outcome driven. - Act as Product Owner for scrum teams, balancing product decisions, technical decisions and customer requirements and assess trade-offs through effective negotiation and logical reasoning. - Drive adoption and rollout planning, including developer onboarding, training, and support strategies. - Work cross-functionally with engineering leads, architects, and product management peers to align pipeline standards with the broader tech ecosystem and long-term platform goals. - Utilize metrics and qualitative feedback to measure impact on build and deployment processes, code integrity and quality, developer productivity and product quality, iterating based on data. - Champion tooling and automation best practices to increase velocity and decrease error rates in software delivery across teams. Qualifications - Proven experience (8+ years) in Product Management ideally focused on developer tools, DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, or platform services. - Understanding of CI/CD concepts and knowledge on the use of Harness or similar pipeline tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps). - Notable technical acumen around software development lifecycle, infrastructure as code, testing automation, and containerization. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders including engineering teams, security, and business partners in a collaborative environment. - Experience driving adoption of technical platforms or products at scale within an enterprise setting. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into product strategy and business value. - Familiarity with security compliance frameworks relevant to healthcare or highly regulated environments is a plus.
