We'relooking for an Instructional Designer to help shape engaging, CEFR-aligned ESL content for adult learners. This is a remote, contracted role focused on creating high-quality interactive practice using tools like ChatGPT to support and streamline the curriculum process. You'llwork closely with editors, AI content builders, andproductleadsto refine lessons that go beyond navigation,yourfocus is on meaningful interaction that supports learning and language use, not just surface-level navigation or button-clicking disguised as practice. Ifyou'reenergized by fast-moving environments, adaptable to change, and thrive on solving messy problems in real time, this is the place for you Key Responsibilities - Review and refine English learning lessons using ChatGPT and other AI-assisted tools - Validate and refine interactive learning practice to ensure it supports language production, comprehension, and retention - Review lesson content and activities for alignment with CEFR levels andestablishedESL best practices - Collaborate with editors, AI content creators, and curriculum leads to improve instructional quality - Ensure practice activities and quiz questions align toobjectivesand have only one correct answer - Adapt to evolving tools, workflows, and product decisions in a fast-paced startup environment - Track changes and contribute to systems that helpmaintainconsistency and instructional clarity - Communicate clearly across teams and respond quickly to feedback or changes in priorities Qualifications - Experience designing ESL or EFL learning content, ideally aligned to the CEFR framework - Strong understanding of instructional design principles, especially for adult learners - Ability to create or evaluate interactive learning practice that supports language acquisition - Familiarity with using AI tools (like ChatGPT) to support content development or editing workflows - Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities - Excellent written communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting - Attention to detail with a flexible, problem-solving mindset Physical Requirements This is a remote, computer-based role. The position requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a desk, as well as regular use of a computer, mouse, and keyboard. Additional Information - This is a contracted position. All work is project based and does not constitute an offer of employment - Contractorsare responsible forproviding their own computer, internet access, and working environment. Access to required software will be provided by Our English Group, LLC - Compensation and scope of work will be outlined in a separate contractor agreement - Compensation will be processed through Rippling, with currency and payment preferences set up based on contractor onboarding details - Contractorsare responsible forcomplying withany applicable tax or invoicing requirements - Pay is by the hour based on hours worked. - All work produced is the property of Our English Group, LLC and may not be used or distributed without written permission - Selected applicants may be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement and/or independent contractor agreement prior to starting work - Contractors maybe requiredto complete basic data security training and adhere to Our English Group, LLCconfidentialityand content protection standards
