Role Description This is a remote role for a Subtitle Writer (English). The selected candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and engaging subtitles in English for video and multimedia content, ensuring correct grammar, punctuation, and timing. Tasks will include researching appropriate terminology, formatting subtitles for readability, and collaborating with content creators to maintain accuracy and coherence. Attention to detail and adherence to submission deadlines are critical in this position. Qualifications - Proficiency in English language skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation - Familiarity with subtitling software and video editing tools like Sfera - Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills - Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality - Interest in media, entertainment, and diverse forms of visual content is a plus - Capability to work independently and in a remote setting - Previous subtitling experience is a HUGE plus Important Kindly note that if you apply for this job, we will be sending you a short 1 minute clip to subtitle as a test. Completing this test does not guarantee you being hired. If you do get hired, payment will be made based on volume of work you produce (INR/minute of video subtitled). Our best subtitlers regularly make more than 1 Lakh rupees per month.
