Job Description Job Title: In-House Counsel - Number of posts: 1 - Types of Job: 1 - Initial Job Location: Bangalore - Job Role: - As counsels for the company, the in-house counsel is equipped to represent the Company fully on all matters the Company refers them to. - Identify legal or contractual issues and develop new approaches to resolve complex issues. - Provide legal advice to senior management regarding various corporate and business matters. - All matters related to procuring of records, due diligence, counsel, documentation, registration of documents, drafting of agreements, deeds, MoUs, contracts, FEMA, Property Laws and consultation related to development, construction, land acquisition, land and infrastructure development, real estate, sale of immovable properties and movable properties, clerical or liaison work, booking forms, subscription agreements, mergers, formation of bye laws, association laws, letters of confidentiality and any other ancillary and incidental documents will be the responsibility of the in-house counsel. - Liaison with local government offices and external counsels - Remain current on federal and state laws, regulations, and practices affecting the company business. - Conducting research on legal issues and advising internal stakeholders on the risks involved in a transaction. - Ensure the legality of company transactions such as gathering and analyzing evidence for legal proceedings, formulating contracts, advising the legal rights and obligations in business transactions. - Qualitative Requirements: - Mandatory: - LLB degree with exceptional academic credentials and should have passed the All India Bar Exam (AIBE). - License to practice law in India. - 1+ years of experience as a counsel or an advocate in court. - Must have relevant experience in handling property law matters - Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills - Good communication skills in local language Kannada and English - Excellent business judgment and high level of professionalism - Ability to work in teams and be able to work independently - Must be able to work and manage large volume of work. - Must be pragmatic and find solutions to business problems. - Excellent time management and organizational skills
