Job Description Inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee, Project Based Analytics As the Manager you will be responsible for providing data-driven insights that identify and diagnose specific execution opportunities in both the field and corporate office. You will have high visibility to Senior Leadership within the org as well as cross-functional interactions with other senior leaders within the greater business. This role requires an excellent collaborator, communicator, and analyst with extensive hands-on data experience. The successful candidate is a problem solver in a fast-moving and highly diverse environment and will be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and timeliness are not compromised. In addition to strong data mining and analytical skills, the Analyst must be adept at communicating findings to senior leadership and business stakeholders across the organization in both verbal and presentation formats using KPIs and metrics that are meaningful to the business. Responsibilities - Build in-depth knowledge of our Retail Client's strategic priorities and processes as well as constructive relationships with senior leaders in the field and home office, operating in an internal consulting capacity to drive improved business outcomes. - Perform value added ad-hoc analysis in support of business leadership and other key stakeholders to include success measurement components. - Mine data using various tools ensuring data validation and integrity and build easily consumable insights & analysis for end user stakeholders. - Analyze vast amounts of operational, financial, Membership and product level data and make recommendations about improvements and opportunities for increasing sales and profit. - Responsible for preparing analysis as well as communicating findings to senior leadership and business stakeholders across the organization in both verbal and presentation formats using KPIs and metrics that are meaningful to the business. - Take the lead on Business problems to include identifying questions, forming hypotheses and determining the best analytical approach, getting beyond the facts and delivering insights that inform business decisions and drive improved performance. Qualifications we seek in you Minimum Qualifications - Relevant years of finance, analytics or predictive modeling experience within a Retail environment with an understanding of key financial metrics and sales mechanics (gross sales, net sales, margin, waste, profit). - BA/BS in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business or other related quantitative field. MBA or Master's degree with focus on analytics or prior consulting experience preferred. - Expert in various data mining techniques. Hands on experience with complex SQL queries and or other data mining and statistical software knowledge preferred. Preferred Qualifications/ Skills - Pro-active and self-motivated work style with proven ability to collaborate broadly with flexible, positive attitude to get results within a cross-functional team. - Strong strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills strong bias towards data-based decision making with the ability to break down complex problems and formulate plans. - - - - -
