About Position: We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Principal Disaster Recovery Administrator to lead and manage our disaster recovery initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining robust disaster recovery solutions, with a strong focus on AWS ERS (Elastic Disaster Recovery) and Zerto. This role requires a deep understanding of disaster recovery best practices, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively with various IT teams to ensure business continuity. Role: Senior Principal Disaster Recovery Administrator Location: Pune Location Experience: 12 to 16 Years Job Type: Full Time Employment Mandatory Mention 3 skills: AWS ERS, Zerto, IT Disaster Recovery What You'll Do: Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive disaster recovery plans and procedures. Design, configure, and manage disaster recovery solutions utilizing AWS ERS and Zerto for critical applications and infrastructure. Conduct regular disaster recovery drills and exercises, documenting results and identifying areas for improvement. Collaborate with application owners, infrastructure teams, and business units to understand recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO). Ensure all disaster recovery solutions align with organizational security policies and compliance requirements. Monitor and report on the health and effectiveness of disaster recovery systems. Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior team members on disaster recovery best practices and technologies. Stay current with emerging disaster recovery technologies and trends, recommending new solutions as appropriate. Act as a primary point of contact during actual disaster events, coordinating recovery efforts and communicating status updates. Develop and maintain detailed documentation for all disaster recovery processes, configurations, and recovery procedures. Expertise You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 8+ years of progressive experience in IT disaster recovery, with a focus on enterprise-level environments. Extensive hands-on experience with AWS ERS (Elastic Disaster Recovery) for protecting and recovering applications. In-depth expertise in Zerto for replication, recovery, and migration of virtualized workloads. Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with AWS services. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of DR tasks. Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux) and database technologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex DR issues. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Zerto Certified Professional) are highly desirable. Experience with other disaster recovery tools and technologies. Knowledge of ITIL framework and incident management processes. Experience in a highly regulated industry.
