This role involves leveraging your expertise in API development, security, and event-driven integration to build secure, scalable, and reliable solutions between Salesforce, Azure services, and external partners. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and implement event routing, monitoring, and security strategies while continuously optimizing performance and ensuring compliance with SLAs. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and manage APIM-based APIs with multi-tenant access models. - Integrate Salesforce Platform Events/CDC with external partners through Event Grid, Service Bus, and webhooks. - Ensure secure and scalable API interactions by implementing OAuth 2.0, JWT validation, mutual TLS, and partner-specific access controls. - Develop event-driven integration patterns to ensure seamless and reliable event distribution across multiple systems. - Enhance API performance by applying caching, rate limiting, retries, and fault tolerance strategies. - Optimize event routing and distribution to minimize latency and maximize reliability. - Implement error handling and dead-lettering strategies for guaranteed message delivery. - Deploy and manage APIM configurations using CI/CD pipelines with ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform. - Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployments and improve infrastructure reliability. - Ensure versioning and rollback capabilities for APIs through automated pipelines. - Implement end-to-end API monitoring and tracing using Application Insights and Log Analytics. - Proactively identify and resolve API integration issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient partner communication. - Utilize distributed tracing to diagnose performance bottlenecks and latency issues. Requirements - Proven experience of 8+ years in Azure APIM development and integration. - Expertise in event-driven architectures using Event Grid, Service Bus, and Kafka/RabbitMQ. - Strong proficiency in integrating Salesforce Platform Events and Change Data Capture (CDC) with Azure services. - Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT validation, and API security best practices. - Knowledge of mutual TLS, token validation, and partner-specific access policies. - Experience with multi-tenant API architecture and enforcing partner-specific SLAs. - Strong skills in CI/CD pipelines with ARM, Bicep, or Terraform for infrastructure automation. - Proficiency with Application Insights, Log Analytics, and other Azure monitoring tools. - Solid understanding of REST, SOAP, and asynchronous API protocols. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of event replay and dead-lettering strategies. - Exposure to Azure Functions or Logic Apps for event processing. - Familiarity with API testing and automation frameworks (Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured). - Experience with event-driven microservices architecture.
