Key duties and responsibilities Inspect and test products Conduct visual and measurement tests on inbound materials and outbound products to ensure they meet specifications Monitor production Oversee the production process to ensure it adheres to quality control procedures and standards Analyze and report Read blueprints specifications and logs to compare against produced goods Document inspection results report defects and identify root causes Calibrate equipment Maintain measurement and testing equipment following calibration requirements and calling for repairs when needed Collaborate with teams Work with production managers and other departments to address quality issues recommend process adjustments and provide training on quality control measures Handle non-conforming products Sort out defective products return them for re-work or initiate non-conformance reports Ensure safety and compliance Follow safety procedures and comply with legal regulations throughout the inspection process
