Join Vanguard as we build something extraordinary from the ground up in our new Hyderabad office We're seeking a Compensation Consultant, Specialist to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our India compensation program. This is a unique opportunity to help establish a compensation philosophy, structures, and processes that align with competitive market practices. From day one, you'll dive into hands-on work -- conducting offer analyses, supporting internal job moves, evaluating new roles, and guiding leaders through compensation processes. You'll also create job descriptions, interpret survey data, and help ensure compliance with local laws and regulations. Your expertise in analytics, market pricing, and compensation administration will be critical. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Workday and payroll systems will be essential. If you thrive in dynamic environments, love building new programs, and want to influence compensation strategy for a growing region, this role is for you Responsibilities: - Act as a lead compensation expert to advise divisional senior management on aligning the pay programs, policies, and procedures with organizational goals. Implement creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs. - Ensure the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and regulations compliance, recommending timely revisions when needed, and keeping senior managers informed of any updated policies. - Oversee the data within the HRIS to ensure the accuracy of compensation information including merit and incentive calculations, approvals for award payments, and payment records. - Manage job evaluations, salary surveys, and all analytical reporting to prepare recommendations and determine pay strategies and implementation based on findings. Own market competitive benchmarking for the defined business area and its application to compensation practices and strategies. - Coach and contribute to the development of compensation analysts. - Design and manage compensation programs including salary structures, short-term and long-term incentive plans, and other variable pay components to support organizational objectives. - Conduct job analysis, evaluation, and classification to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness across roles and grades. - Provide guidance and communication support to business leaders and HR partners on compensation plan features, pay policies, and implementation guidelines. - Collaborate with external consultants and vendors, as needed, to obtain insights or support for compensation program design and benchmarking initiatives. - Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Minimum 8 years of total experience, including at least 5 years in compensation management and analysis. - Bachelor's degree (B.Com/ BBA/B.E./B.Tech) in relevant fields such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent; a Master's degree or diploma in HR. or professional certification (e.g., CCP) is preferred. - Strong expertise in compensation design, job evaluation, benchmarking, pay structure management, and HRIS data analysis with proficiency in analytical tools and stakeholder communication.
